As a theatre maker Zac has worked as a composer, sound designer, musical director, arranger and performer on everything from Shakespeare to devised work, immersive choreography to musicals. He is an associate artist at Shakespeare’s Globe, where he composed for and MD’ed their groundbreaking The Merchant Of Venice (2022). He collaborated closely with artists writing for theatre for the first time on critically acclaimed productions of The Cherry Orchard (Donmar Warehouse, 2024) and Twelfth Night (RSC, 2024), contributing additional compositions in the process. He has a long-standing partnership as a composer and co-deviser with Kandinsky Theatre, whose More Life (2025) sold out the Royal Court studio; as an ensemble member he has performed everywhere from the Royal Opera House to the National Theatre’s Olivier stage. Zac is known for his highly developed sensibility for musical story telling, his unique skillset and experience and his openness as a creative collaborator.
